Robia to efektívne?

Žiaci pracovali s 10 min prednáškou TEDtalk od Lýdie Machovej pod názvom The Sectrets of learning New Language.

Odpovede začali chodiť dosť rýchlo a bolo potešením si ich čítať.

Uvádzam niektoré z nich v pôvodnom znení (teda aj s prípadnými chybami):

Enjoyment: What do you enjoy on learning a foreign language?

I especially like to get an interesting information in a foreign language.
I think everyone has their own enjoyment. When I understand joke in foreign language or I can fluently understand video in foreign language that is my enjoyment. Also this things that I mentioned give you lot of motivation which is in my opinion the most needed in learning new language.
This is an easy one. My enjoyment personally, comes from not only the pure knowledge you obtain when you learn a new language but also all the things it can open for you, which are not accessible in other languages. Being able to watch a video in a foreign language, read some text or watch a movie that only comes in english for example, is not only a great motivation for me to learn a language but also an insensible and enjoyable way of learning it.
I really enjoy to talk with people and explore their minds – so I chat with a lot of people from every corner of the world. Then I really like to read books in English.

Method: Do you use any tried and tested method that works for you?

I can say what really helps me is talking to myself in foreign language. In bed when I´m trying to sleep or in shower i speak to myself in English and actually it is really funny. That is my method.

The best way to learn foreign language is certainly speaking but I also like to watch videos on Youtube. Another excellent way is to use Duolingo or similar applications.

After learning more extensive basics, I think the best method is to speak a lot. Reading and writing are also very important for  training your vocabulary and sentence making but speaking with a native speaker and listening to videos, movies or an audiobook are the most essential I would say.

System: What is your system of learning a foreign language?

When it comes to watching videos, I don’t need any schedule. Almost every day youtubers publish new videos and I watch them whenever I want to.

I’m not sure If I can consider that as some “system of learning” because I do that thing in my native language too, but when I’m texting with a people, watching videos or whatever, I’m trying to notice how they’re making a sentences or how they’re using a words.

I learn basics trough watching cartoons. As soon as I get better, I start watching serials and movies with captions.
I am not sure if I have some special system to learn a new language. When I want to speak to myself in English I just do it. Or when I want to watch some video in English I do it. As Maťo mentioned it all happen naturally.

Patience: Are you patient enough?

I am patient enough.
If I only intended to learn language it would be difficult but I learn new interesting things  using foreign language and that’s not tough at all.

Patience is something that I am not sure if I have it enough. I think it is happening because I don´t have lot of motivation. But when I really enjoy that specific foreign language I´m patient enough. Watching videos really help me to be more motivated to understand all without any subtitles. But I think what everybody needs right now is just to be more patient and don´t expect big results just in the beginning.

My patience in learning a foreign languages is pretty good but I need some kind of motivation, for example – When I was learning german in 3rd grade my motivation was my germany-obsessed teacher who was telling me and my classmates that we would die if we cannot speak german.

No, I don’t play that game. My patience doesn’t exist. If I want to do something, I need to be motivated all the time. If I’m not, I become lazy and do nothing.
