Teacher Training

Teacher training is my mission, passion and a part of my expertise. I strongly believe investment and effort we put into teacher development brings extra values that make a positive difference in many lives around us.

I have been training teachers in ELT since 1995. My first training experience was encouraged by my methodology teacher at Mathei Bel University in Banská Bystrica. Michael W. Houten guided me through my first trainer steps at IATEFL Slovakia conference.

In 2008 I was offered an ELT Consultant position in Oxford University Press Slovakia team. It comprised intensive contact with teachers of English and teacher training activities all over the country. Oxford University Press gave me an access to all new trends in ELT methodology and to modern study materials. I became Oxford Teachers’ Academy certified teacher trainer and got many useful trainings in presentation and training skills.

Later I participated at the main ELT conferences as a freelance trainer. I have worked mainly for Macmillan publishing house addressing their customers in Slovakia and The Czech Republic in Brno, Zlín, Plzeň and Pargue.

A big part of my training work has been devoted to Foreign Language Publications – the publisher of popular ELT magazines Hello, Hello Kids and Friendship. FLP gave me the chance to write ELT materials for their magazine articles. Teacher’s notes, activities and worksheets for students aimed to make the clasroom work easier for teachers.

More than twenty years of my own teaching experience in ELT gives me a deep insight into teacher’s needs. I taught at the bilingual secondary schooll, at primary school (6 – 15) and I also ran my own private language school. Thanks to my teaching skills I am able to deliver also sample teaching lessons with real students of all segments, provide real case studies and authentic students’ works at my talks and workshops.
